Accounts Payable (A/P) Lead

Position Overview

Our client, a leading wholesale distributor is seeking a hands-on, dynamic Accounts Payable Manager for a contract role. This position focuses on providing leadership and development for an existing A/P team member while managing day-to-day operations and special projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the Accounts Payable function.
  • Initially perform A/P tasks to understand processes, then transition to leadership and oversight.
  • Resolve disputes and ensure timely, accurate payments.
  • Develop and train the current A/P team member.
  • Manage projects assigned by leadership.
  • Collaborate with operations and finance teams for process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills with an adaptable communication style.
  • Experience in Accounts Payable, Finance, or Operations.
  • Project management experience.
  • Familiarity with Vision and Epicor software preferred.
  • No degree required; experience and leadership ability are key.
